Hello community. It's with exquisite pleasure that I announce the UnitedBSD feedback, suggestions, and bug reporting thread. Open to everybody [1].

Here you can:

  1. share general opinions on the forum.
  2. leave a feedback note. Did you find anything useful?
  3. suggest changes and/or improvements (accessibility, readability, theming, content layout, tags).
  4. report bugs, or other kind of annoyance related to the forum software, which we remind being Flarum. This will turn most useful after forum updates. But don't be harsh with @Jay, he's the friendliest admin to have ever walked this planet.
  5. report connectivity problems (name resolution, certificates, recurrent downtimes)
  6. report mistakes and typos in the wiki-tagged and blog-tagged pages.
  7. suggest thread splitting or thread merging.

This thread is not for reporting abuse; rather, contact any of the mods for that: @Jay @pin and @JuvenalUrbino.

The following snapshot is not a montage!

Should we NFT it as "beware of strawman clones"?

Edit: It seems to be reproducible: Switch the user listing to "Most Discussions" and scroll down to the 1st "Load More" stop ...

    ... click for more ...

    ...and again a clone.

Ok. So not a rare event, probably not really a hit to sell via NFT... :-(

    But wait! There is more!

Two times the same bunny in one screenshot without doctoring it!
I had to try that!!! \o/

    ...aaaaaaaand JACKPOT!

Jay ...look up! I got the 4 rabbits snapshot. You have any comments about the double strawman?

JuvenalUrbino I think it should rather be "that's what the world became" but, yeah!

        Oooopsy...

This is both rabbits in the same place and one glitching. I saw other similar glitches with a single rabbit before too with other stripey patterns, so the 2nd one is not the cause of the problem. Unless others have seen this before, I'll just blame it on X11 on this hardware (ThinkPad-T510/Intel-GPU/Debian11)?

Edit: IIRC the glitch starts when the bunny changes the direction.

        Oooops... I glitched it again!

My impression is that Flarum has turned less stable in recent updates. Some features were merged too early.

JuvenalUrbino The text instead of image glitch might have been just a network hiccup while trying to load the image.

          I currently get a lot of ...

... and those red alerts that I shall reload the page, on scrolling and on rabbit actions (related to JS?).

Maybe both related to network trouble?

          • Jay replied to this.

yeti nah it is Server side hard disk full issue. work in progress :)

In the "private discussions" page, clicking the 3 dots stack on the right of a discussion and selecting "leave this private discussion" throws me into the "all discussions" page after unsubscribing. It would be nicer, if after unsubscribing a private discussion, one would still be on the "private discussions" page near the point where the action took place.

Similarly leaving a private discussion from deep in the "all discussions" page throws the focus back at the top of that page. That's annoying too.

So in both cases remembering where the action was performed and staying close to that point would be nicer.

Or let's phrase it that way: Don't confuse users without a good reason.

              yeti The clones army grows!

It again is the "Most Discussions" view.

Jay Again the middle of this effect was the place where the "Load More" button showed up. It happens with Firefox and Chromium.
