xmris oh lovely thread here! Just in time as I m looking info how to dual-boot linux and OpenBSD , alas I need the darn Linux as I have USB devices (eg oscilloscope, EEPROM burner etc) that sadly there is no support for them on *BSDs
Personally not a fan of dualbooting, because I always get lazy when rebooting.
I think "I'll boot into Linux just to play some Palworld", before I know it, I'm in Linux for weeks, even after I long stopped playing Palworld.
So I instead prefer to use multiple computers, each running their own OS.
Want to game? I go to my gaming rig running Void Linux.
Want to do whatever else? I go to any of my OpenBSD laptops.
And I can leave all of them on at all times.
Besides, you can easily find a cheap ThinkPad on auction sites, got all of mine from Yahoo Auctions.
With the exception of the ThinkPad P50, all of them were less than 15,000 yen.
