steam cannot run

I had install linux-steam-utils,when start steam I get errors:
error: ld.so:object 'steamfix.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded:ignored
sh: /usr/home/unicorn_walker/.steam/steam/steam_msg.sh: no such file or directory
../steamexe/updateui_xwin.cpp(399):assertion failed:could not open connection to x
etc.
How to fix this?

Looks like a custom kernel will have to be compiled.
EDIT: or the linux64.ko module will need to be loaded.

And if this doesn't help try these steps :

->Add fdesc /dev/fd fdescfs rw 0 0 to /etc/fstab file.
->Remove linux /dev/null by rm /compat/linux/dev/null in terminal
->Reboot the your PC.

unicorn Contact the maintainer of this package. There are, at least, 3 issues here, I think:

The 64-bit version of steamfix.so doesn't seem to be present. (Don't know if it's needed, or if only the 32-bit .so will suffice.)

Some Linux-emulation is missing. Check the system log messages. You'll see that some prctl values are missing:

x202e kernel: linux: jid 0 pid 64670 (steam): unsupported prctl PR_SET_PTRACER

The ruby27 binary is segfaulting:

x202e kernel: pid 15075 (ruby27), jid 0, uid 1002: exited on signal 11

Only this last seems easily fixable: Try installing a newer version and symlink it to ruby27.
