joany Got my hands on a HP Proliant DL380 G5 (xeon socket 771) I wanted to try something else the my current Debian11 install. But i cant get past thise screens
rvp joany Does booting in uniprocessor mode (boot -1 at the bootloader prompt) or without ACPI support (boot -2) work?
rvp joany See if there is a BIOS update for your HW. Try the latest -HEAD kernel too. It might have additional bugfixes/workarounds.
joany rvp I gave up tryimg to find a new bios. HPE keeps them in a safe now. But i went into the bios and disabled MPS Tablemode And it boots. running one CPU 🙄 thanks all for valuble input
