Just occurred to me recently - on Linux, when the system boots, my fan gets set automatically to the lowest speed and afterwards is dynamically controlled by the OS. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be the case for NetBSD - the fan keeps running at regular (mid) speed and doesn't seem to be dynamically controlled in any way, no matter whether the CPU is idle or running at some load. powerd
is running, envstat
reports only one single metric for amdzentemp0
- "CPU temperature". Is there any support for automatic fan control in NetBSD that I am missing at the moment?
