I would like to inquire the functionality of the following lines in the mate installation script because I am not familiar with these mechanisms:
sysctl -w kern.defcorename=/tmp/%n.core
sudo su -l ${user} -c "dbus-launch dconf load / < /home/${user}/dconf.dump.out"
