oui I regained my sanity, reintroduced my mouse and instead tossed away my mechanical keyboard. A laptop only setup has brought me some peace of mind. Also installed a little laptop stand on the back cover of my ThinkPad, a slight tilt and increase in height has improved my laptop experience a lot.

I have come full circle:

laptop only -> desktop -> SBC desktop -> (desktop-like) laptop setup -> laptop only

The only computers I own now is two ThinkPad X260s (one as daily driver and the other one for compiling, rendering and as a benchmark testbed). Lastly a Raspberry Pi 4 as a server, all running NetBSD of course.

oui Y'know, that spartan room is just what I'd expect of a Swedish designer living in Japan, ... but I'm not fooled: there's piles of junk been kicked away just off-shot, right?

I have managed to boot OpenBSD, FreeBSD and NetBSD (and current Debian) on the LinkStar H68K.

Warning: the support is not yet complete, better ask me before you buy it.

rvp Y'know, I used to have a lot of, ... excuse me, a few bo.. *caugh* ONE, box with junk lying around my room until... well oh dear, this happened.

Now every time I post a picture of my setup I religiously follow this divine cleaning routine of my 10 square meters apartment. Dare I say it has been very successful thus far.

I need a better desk for sure, but I got this one for free so I can't really complain.

In fact most of this setup was free. I found the PC on the side of the road (literally) just needed a new mobo. I've since upgraded the graphics card and purchased a sweet 1440p curved monitor. peripherals are basic but have been with me a while and do the job just fine. I'd love a nice keyboard one day.

Got my hands on a X220. It's going to serve me well as a NetBSD tinkerer machine for building custom kernel/userland and compiling pkgsrc.

For the first time a few days back I installed DragonFly BSD on a Lenovo AMD A9 laptop. Although I have run FreeBSD and many Linux distros on Virtualbox this is the first time I installed DragonFly BSD. I went with the default setup, installed xorg and set up X then installed WindowMaker desktop and Firefox browser. I sorted out the issue of startx not opening and configured X window without a problem. Avalon mirror type which I changed to HTTPS gets changed when updating, so disabled it and used other mirrors. Everything works fine except there is no audio output 🙁 Then I installed Mate desktop and tried opening Youtube but there is still no audio. I configured urxvt fonts and theme etc.
