That said, there is a a GPU-accelerated media player, called omxplayer (already packaged for pkgsrc [multiomedia/omxplayer](/multimedia/omxplayer)), specifically designed for Raspberry Pi, which speaks directly to the hardware video decoder of the embedded Broadcom Videocore GPU and can be launched from wscons.

That and some guides on how to get started would be useful. OI is an interesting alternative to the BSD's and linux

Not a BSD but as it's basically IceWM + a custom theme and some scripting it shouldn't really make much of a difference what it's running on. My text based "session manager" and the ability to run multiple X sessions on different VTs (i use a different user for "sensitive" stuff) might be a little harder to port though but i had this working on FreeBSD at some point so other BSDs would probably also do. The tabbed fullscreen terminal is my "desktop" by the way.

majekla pkgsrc on SunOS needs more testing with regard to desktop related software; consider giving it a shot if you find OI's repos lacking. Binaries for illumos are available too.

I am learning to sail nowadays, so i have compiled OpenGrid on OpenBSD to get some weather information. The blueish region is the selected area to download the weather info. The arrows shows the wind direction, the color shows the local wind speed. It shows data for the next couple of days weather in 2 or 3 hours increments. It works very well.

shell: elvish git-build, look into .config/elvish/rc.elv
terminal: alacritty git-build, look into .config/alacritty/alacritty.toml. Be aware, if you don't use the git version, it won't work.

I've hosted these in wip so, yeah just build them from there.

shell prompt: oh-my-posh, one of the default themes, see the corresponding line calling it in .config/elvish/rc.elv
ls replacement: lsd, see .config/lsd

These are on pkgsrc main branch.

WM? No, this is marswn git-build and only available from my own repository.
But, the repository is not private, so you can just grab it.

Did I miss something? I don't think so but, just ask if I did.

fetcher: macchina with my own theme Lithium which, is part of the official themes and included by default in the pkgsrc package.

@netbsdnoob If it's possible with ksh? Yes, https://www.unitedbsd.com/d/452-show-us-your-screen/126 but, I no longer have the config files for it.
