I'd never heard of noice
before now, I assume that is what you were using in your previous screenshots?. I've been using various nnn
clones for a while. Initially I started with fff which is excellent however it doesn't include the numbered tabs like in nnn
. I later discovered that Dylan also wrote shfm, a file manager written in posix shell. Unfortunately it doesn't support file operaations such as cp
/mv
/rm
however I managed to find a fork which implemented file operations. I've been using this for a long time and I find it works just as good as nnn
. It also has the numbered tabs.
I only mention this seeing as you've dumped ksh
for sh
, I thought maybe this might be up your alley?
If you want a version with the sxiv
patch already applied I've forked it here. There is also a patch to have files preminantly deleted first time but I prefer to hold files in a trash folder incase I accidentally delete something therefore I haven't applied that patch in my fork.
May I ask what prompted this decision?
