Requests for packages in pkgsrc/pkgin

badwolf works fine, I've been using it as my only web browser for the last 4 months.
What's not working for you? pkgsrc branch?

As for qutebrowser, ...it's doomed to no longer work with the qt5-qtwebkit backend at some point. qt5-qtwebengine will be the only option.

Yes, I guess, because I can't find it with pkgin search.

I'm using 2020Q3. I just checked, but...

$ pkgin search badwolf
No results found for badwolf

rockyhotas What arch? It's for sure there for amd64, I've checked it.

I'm using amd64, but I'm no more sure that I'm using 2020Q3. Do you know how to determine which repository is used? I only found:

$ cat /usr/pkg/etc/pkgin/repositories.conf
http://cdn.NetBSD.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/amd64/9.0/All

rockyhotas Usually 9.0 is a symlink to the latest Q-release, looking at it now it seams the symlink hasn't been updated and its still linking to 2020Q2.
Either raise an issue or temporarily point your repositories.conf to https://cdn.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/amd64/9.0_2020Q3/All

Of course do run pkgin update and pkgin full-upgrade afterwards.

pfr ffmpeg-sixel looks cool... however it relies on a very old ffmpeg branch (2.x) that pulls unsupported dependencies and conflicts with newer libraries. I recommend to either abandon it or convince upstream to rebase to the newer version. Unfortunately upstream is inactive in 5 years here. If you abandon it, please mark this package that it is an abandoned request.

It does look cool! videos directly in the terminal 🤙
And since the addition of sixel support in xterm I've been playing with all sorts of sixel stuff.

I will do my best to convince upstream to consider updating to a more current branch of ffmpeg. Will let you know how I get on. Cheers 🍻

It still is somehow chunky... on 9.1/i386 it throws a memory error and on amd64 it sometimes crashes too, but with care, a screenshot can be made:

Make man honour a MANWIDTH env. variable.
Right now, I've munged man.conf to add -O width=$((${COLUMNS:-80} - 3)) where needed, and that's as ugly as it looks here. Should be trivial to query the terminal to get column-width if MANWIDTH=tty and then pass an appropriate -O width=... to mandoc.

How would you like to see it implemented? It looks quite inflexible in the current form as we rely on the man.conf(5) format. Could we workaround it by handling MANWIDTH inside mandoc?

Can we ignore it in CATPAGES altogether?

pin Also, IIRC, a pkgin developer suggested to use pkgin upgrade now. pkgin full-upgrade has been (or will soon be) deprecated.
