[Regression in NetBSD?] cups_browsed daemon doesn't start

Hi to All! Sorry for my bad English...

Some time ago was all OK with network printing on Epson M200 printer after compile its driver from src. And cupsd & cups_browsed were successfully started after install of "cups cups-pdf cups-filters (included cups_browsed)" and copying daemons files "cupsd cups-browsed [and probably ahavidaemon]" from /usr/pkg/share/examples/rc.d to /etc/rc.d. And after that edit /etc/rc.conf: "cupsd=YES & cups_browsed=YES". Probably the package cups-browsed now was installed manually, but not by cups-filters.

But after restart NetBSD now cups_browsed doesn't start, so I have a troubles to detect and print with nettwork printer Epson M200 after configure localhost:631/admin

How can I solve this problem?

dpostolov Looks like the there's a separate cups-browsed package now in 2025Q3. The cups-filters package no longer contains the cups-browsed binary.

You may have to uninstall the old cups-filters package first if the etc/rc.d/cups-browsed scripts conflict.
