Kanninha I tried this too, i only get 1024x768 & 800x600
Is this BIOS (vesa
) or UEFI (gop
)? If your firmware is capable of UEFI, turn off CSM (BIOS compatibility mode). UEFI might give better resolutions.
If neither BIOS nor UEFI produce more resolutions, then only the kernel drivers can provide better resolutions (if the display advertises them on the VGA i/f).
Can you post /var/run/dmesg.boot
after booting with boot -vx
at the bootloader prompt?
