kc9udx I almost always (possibly every time) get that.
Look ...
I've just logged in as root on a system where this error never existed and changed my hostname to localhost
in /etc/hosts
. You can use whatever that doesn't match hostname.
Logged out and logged in as myself.
xauth: file /home/pin/.serverauth.752 does not exist
Again, logged in as root and changed back /etc/hosts
to match my hostname.
Et voilá, the error is gone.
But is X starting? For me it almost always does, even with that error message.
True, it did start for me above but, "almost always" is not "every time" and, when the solution is so simple, why not just use it?!
