If I was going to hire someone to do just ONE thing for NetBSD, it would be either a "generic" (VESA?) driver for machines with "nvidia problems." Or a prominent FAQ item on how to enable such a driver if it exists in the base installation.
My only NetBSD machine (which I setup JUST to compare NetBSD to other BSDs) works alright from the command line, but once you run X it crashes and barfs graphics on the screen. I really don't need X working, but if there was a "safe mode" option, even at lower resolution, that would be so much nicer. This is one of the more common problems I know of with NetBSD, any improvement would be welcome.
