Worse, I had a negative record in another city. Was asking awkward questions about passport, and made them angry. They did pay attention to obscure software - got inside my hotel room, and the laptop was unencrypted and running, got their hands on it and rummaged through Downloads dir, found some memes and stated that the laptop needs to be examined in the office and took it and me along.
I had an unpleasant evening with the officials, explaining me that you may not question the authorities.
The laptop was not checked by them and returned to me.
