pkgsrc + NetBSD 9.3 amd64 vs i386

I removed the first post of this because some information was missing, try w.

I Installed 9.3 on two old PC, replacing what is there there seems to be an issue with pkgsrc packages for amd64:

System 1,i386 -- no issues with pkgsrc
System 2,amd64 -- package ImageMagick is missing

I ask because I searched the various 9* directories on cdn.netbsd.org and this is what I found:

9.0 amd64 - missing
9.0_2022Q4 amd64 -- missing
9.0_2023Q1 amd64 -- missing
9.0_2023Q2 amd64 -- missing
9.3 amd64 -- missing

9.0 i386 -- found
9.0_2022Q4 i386 -- found
9.0_2023Q1 i386 -- found
9.0_2023Q1 i386 -- found
9.0_2023Q2 i386 -- found
9.3 i386 -- found

Months ago, I had installed 9.3/amd64 without issues, since I have replaced that install with 10.0-BETA.

Any ideas on what to do for 9.3/amd64 ?

It has been a while since last time I used any of the stable branches.
But, what URL do you have in /usr/pkg/etc/pkgin/repositories.conf?

Is it just ImageMagick?

In /usr/pkg/etc/pkgin/repositories.conf I had/have

Then that is when I went looking and found out these items from my list do not exist anywhere for 9 stable:
tin
p7zip
gv
nethack-tty

There may be others, but I have a list of items to install and those are the only ones missing from the list.

I did look in 9.0_current and the items are there.

jmcunx open a ticket in pkgsrc-users mailing list. In the meantime, you could try to build those locally.

I've been building everything from source for the last 8 months but, my binaries are for HEAD, else I could share them.

Sure, will create a ticket. Also I was toying with building from source, will give that a shot

I suppose this can be closed as "kind of" solved 🙂 Will try and figure out how to close this.

I created ticket pkg/57568 and per pin I used pkgsrc to get the other items installed. pkgsrc worked well and without issues.

So all is working fine for 9.3 stable.
