OK, I logged in as root and then as "bld". I ran:
$ script -a ./build.sh -j1 -N3 -M /usr/obj -T /usr/tools -U tools
Script started, output file is ./build.sh
The only thing appended to ./build.sh is
Script started, output file is ./build.sh
hua$ Script started on Sat Mar 18 14:16:12 2023
hua$
Should I try running:
./build.sh -j20 -N1 -M /usr/obj -T /usr/tools -U tools
logged in as root and then "bld"?
Edit---

Edit---
Interesting. I have done a visual inspection of /usr/obj and /usr/tools. It looks like everything compiled. The question is of course, whether they have the correct permissions, and whether I run the kernel compile as as the user "bld" after loging in as root, or just log in as the user "bld".
