Recursively upgrade a package?

I wanna upgrade www/firefox which I built from source but it has many dependencies which each take a very long time to compile so it's impractical to go to each directory and doas make replace clean clean-depends. Is there a way to do this automatically - upgrade a package and all its dependencies?

There's pkgtools/pkg_rolling-replace package that works really well. By default it rebuilds all outdated packages, but the manpage has some examples of bending it to your particular purpose.

pkgtools/pkg_rolling-replace seems to be doing the trick for my uses. It was having a hard time with my (default) mk.conf but I removed some irrelevant conditionals and now it's happy.
