I’m about to back to FreeBSD 13.1-STABLE on an ASRock X300 with Ryzen 7 5750G 8C16T, 59.6GiB DDR4, and 4 × 1.82TiB Samsung NVMe SSD
And will also install FreeBSD 14-CURRENT (yes too risky to be installed or run on real h/w) and minor BSD’s (yes for those modern real h/w FreeBSD-STABLE should always be the leading BSD) like MidnightBSD, DFly, OS108, EdgeBSD, and OpenBSD on VBox guests on that FreeBSD 13.1-STABLE
My desktops will be Plasma/Wayland, Enlightenment/Wayland, and XFCE
I’ll also help writing ports to port those apps from Linux,
Weston (an independent Wayland-only desktop composition just like Plasma and Enlightenment on their Wayalnd side other than their X11 side);
Kotatogram desktop (a Telegram desktop app i love on Linux, and wanna port it also to FreeBSD);
Brave browser (now FreeBSD still only has Falkon and Firefox, not that insufficient to me);
Trinity (TDE; a compact vintage desktop forked since KDE 3; also gona have Wayland works on Trinity) ...
