How to eneble amdgpu in DragonFlybsd 5.6.1?
I have problems with radeon HD 6450 and HD8490. Both are Caicos chip. GUI ( mate and also LXDE ) is logout in unexpected way to the CLI after 2-3 minutes work. Driver is radeon.ko and files radeon for caicos. Checked via kldstat. So i removed CAICOS card and used R5 240 card. But i still have radeon.ko driver. On R5 240 cards system not recognize 4k and 2k monitor resolution. So I want do enable amdgpu driver for R5 card. Onboard IGP i have Intel GMA 3100 gpu and this gpu works good. But cannot achived 2k resolution. I have tested dragon Fly BSD 5.6.1 on difrerent machine with intel HD graphics haswell. And intel GPU works perfectly with 2k. In version 5.4 there was not problem with radeon driver. Problem starts begin after upgrade to the 5.6.1. Can anybody help?

being not a radeon user myself, I guess you could file a bug report in http://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/ (you have to ask on IRC for an access) or come on the IRC channel (#dragonflybsd on EFNet).

From the latest release notes https://www.dragonflybsd.org/release56/, I read that :
- Major updates to the radeon and ttm (amd support code) drivers. We have not quite gotten the AMD support up to the more modern cards or Ryzen APUs yet, however.

Any way you should at least provide logs from the X server and from the system.

For what it's worth, the amdgpu driver is now available in latest master. One has to use it with the modesetting Xorg driver.

What about now? I'm able to find and download the "xf86-video-amdgpu" and "devfw-amdgpu" packages but when I'm using the latest DragonFlyBSD 6.2.1 in QEMU (with ArchLinux as a host), xrandr cannot see the HZ and the resolution can go up to 1280x720. Any ideas? Maybe I need to download another package when I use a VM? My GPU is AMD Radeon RX 560.

I saw you got a reply from a dev on the mailing list : https://lists.dragonflybsd.org/pipermail/users/2022-January/404934.html but you didn't really talked about how the GPU is exposed to the DragonFlyBSD VM.
