XFCE4 & dbus: failed to start

Ok, something is for sure wrong with dbus, I'll post this on the mailing lists.
I've just created a qemu-VM, installed NetBSD (clean install of 9.99.88 from yesterday evening) and pkgin install dbus, no other packages installed, gives me a warning

useradd: Warning: home directory '/var/run/dbus' doesn't exist, and -m was not specified

Removing dbus, creating the directory and re-installing eliminates the warning as expected but, this is not right. Last change to the package took place on Tue Mar 30 18:09:45 2021 UTC (4 months, 3 weeks ago).

This being said, it does not explain why packages don't get registered in pkgdb.

Well, at least my i915drmkms doesn't seem to miss it.

This is a pretty old one--I've seen this many times before, but, its fine 'cause the rc script creates that dir. when it runs.

Fine. they're disabled. Keep them disabled for now (either using /boot.cfg or boot -c).
