Ok maybe i got it... let's see:
BSDs do not behave like GNU/Linux, htey are split into two parts the Core OS and then the external Packages.
Those are detached from each other. So i can run NetBSD-STABLE/RELEASE or CURRENT independently from pkgsrc quarterly / current and so on.
So the advice to not mess up is not much having NetBSD-CURRENT coupled with pkgsrc-current BUT
having pkgsrc-current (binary) with pkgsrc-current (source) so tracking the same stuff with pkgsrc.
Did I get this right?
