Hello all, how can i enable touchpad tapping in netbsd?
My touchpad is working fine, the only thing is that the tap to click is not working.
How can i enable it?
netbsdnoob not supported, currently, I think. Same for 2-finger scrolling.
@rvp actually two finger scrolling is working nicely, i just think there should be a setting that i don't know of

I am surprised--there is one guy who is desperate to have it working for him. Which laptop do you have?
rvp One with an Elantech touchpad. The Elantech driver detects any movement with two fingers as scrolling. I briefly had this change for the Synaptics driver, but it broke click gestures which were essential to keep obscure hardware with only one button working. The Synaptics driver instead tries to measure "finger width" (i.e. it scrolls with two fingers held closely together), but the width detection seems to outright lie on newer hardware.
An Asus K52Jc.
nia I was giving a peek at http://cvsweb.netbsd.org/bsdweb.cgi/src/sys/dev/pckbport/?only_with_tag=MAIN
basically where there is the elantech driver.
Maybe we can get this working by using notes contained here ?
They seem well documented.
I am going to give it a shot in the next days.

My Asus X202E has an Elantech touchpad too, and I just re-confirmed that 2-finger scrolling does not work on NetBSD. Hence my surprise. xev reports nothing (apart from random mouse up-down movement). Double-tapping does work, to my surprise (I habitually keep the blessed thing disabled).
rvp I am sure about the fact that I am using NetBSD 9.1 with elantech touchpad, and my 2 finger scrolling
works smoothly! It's nice!
