Empty local package list

Hello, I am pretty new in Netbsd (and in english lang), this mornig I did
pkgin install lemonbar
and when I did
pkgin remove lemonbar I get
pkgin: empty local package list.
pkgin list says
Requested list is empty.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Netbsd is 9.1
pkgin 20.12.1
/usr/pkg/etc/pkgin/repositories.conf is fine.

Package 'fuse-ntfs-3g-2017.3.23' has no @name
also I can neither re-install it nor delete it.

avanguardo Sounds like something is messed-up.
Which install image did you use? I'm interested in the date of the image.

In case the image is older than December 2020, have you seen this, https://www.pkgsrc.org/pkgdb-change/ ?

pin yes, the image is older than December 2020, the database is in /var/db/pkg. Thanks for the link, i will study it.

avanguardo The easiest way is to do a fresh install but, you will find instructions on how to move the database in the link, if reinstalling is not an option for you.

Fresh images are released daily and can be found here, http://nycdn.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/netbsd-9/latest/images/
Just remember to point to a valid binary repository when installing.
