
This doesn't look like much; but to me it's bliss. Not wanting to upgrade Debian to comply with some impending update deadline; I gave up and installed NetBSD on this special-purpose machine that only runs ffmpeg scripts and shotcut
. It just knocks my socks off every time I get to ditch Debian for NetBSD. It really feels like going outside after years of looking out through a window. Everything stays exactly the same but there is no systemd hanging over my head, no weird hacks to make things work, and... things are faster 🙂
Now if only I could get shotcut
to work. Oh! and I have to rename those shell windows!!!
