Only if you don't wish to look l33t. And, to truly baffle the proles:

C:\> copy file.txt \any\existing\dir\CON.txt

or, even,

C:\> type file.txt > c:\some\path\CON.exe

Yah. Midnight Commander is 2nd bit of GNU software I always install everywhere (the 1st is bash).

Anyway, now it is:

I'm loving these, especially the emwm. I'm now experimenting with emwm on Slackware, albeit v1.0 from Slackbuilds. Will need to build the latest (1.3). Any tips, pointers, configs for emwm? I suck at ricing, mostly because of impatience, but I would like to make a nice, functional emwm desktop like yours.

EDIT: scratch that, I can poke around your dotfiles for inspiration.

I highly recommend getting started with pkgsrc on Slackware for this 😉.

FreeBSD, Mate, on a Panasonic CF-MX5 (8GB RAM, 1TB SSD). Great tiny laptop; these were not sold in the US market.
