tilde.pink: a public tilde running on NetBSD

Recently, while poking around Gemini, I came across tilde.pink, which is a public tilde running on NetBSD and offering remote shell access (via pubkey auth only, which is something I endorse), Gopher and Gemini hosting for all members and a small set of nice newsgroups (NNTP over TLS) to subscribe and participate to. Make sure to check it out! I already got an account and look forward to starting my Gemini Phlog on there as soon as I have some more time to spare.

Having enough NetBSDs and Penguins at home, I decided to move into tilde.institute which runs OpenBSD.

The whole tildeverse is worth a look and apart from the listed ones, there are even more loosely related systems and tilde candidates, but I forgot which page lists these ones.

...and their [IRC server](irc://irc.tilde.chat) is a nice place to be...

...and they offer a lot of other servers and services and I might not even have noticed lots of them yet. The tildeverse is an adventure to be explored!

pfr That's curious; I got a reply within something like 3 days. Parhaps they're receiving too many requests now and are afraid of the possible resource restraints? Did you attach a SSH pubkey to your mail? You can't expect to be registered without one.
