I'm inclined to blame csh... - pkgin could detect whenever the terminal window is too short to display the full help and pipe through less(1) or more(1) It would honestly be nice not to default to using the BIOS text console in VMs. Jared was curious about writing a DRMKMS driver for bochs-vga which would give you a nice high resolution framebuffer by default. I usually do "vesa on" at the boot prompt...
