pfr I don't think the pinebook pro is a replacement for a thinkpad x230. It's kind of a toy for hacking on.
Charging is less reliable. The drain of a pinebook pro at full load is not enough to recharge the battery, so it will be continually draining the battery and eventually die unless you lower the screen brightness or take some other measure. It is not ACPI, so there is no suspend. You don't get the option of a huge thinkpad battery addon.
There's currently a bug where the internal speakers will never be disabled. I suspect this will be fixed soon(TM).
bwfm is slightly sketchy still and I recommend using USB wifi (I have a run(4)) or ethernet.
4GB RAM is enough to run Firefox reasonably well on aarch64.
Binary package availability is currently not as good as amd64, but will likely get a lot better after 2020Q2 builds are published.
Performance in X11 would be lesser than the X230, though maybe not enough to matter. llvmpipe is surprisingly very fast, so it depends on your use case.
