aponomarenko no problem, ask anytime, and good luck with your project
JuvenalUrbino your posts made me curious about whatever cross-bsd hardware info fetch utility you're working on 🙂.
Just released a preview: https://github.com/bsdhw/Intro
Please help to test it if you can find little time. This will help a lot.
aponomarenko nice work.. 🙂 i will upload my probe soon
aponomarenko one user has asked this question on Mastodon https://dev.glitch.social/@hirojin/104213019396301073
aponomarenko I'll make sure to test it the sooner 😉, thanks
aponomarenko also this user is getting false error for FreeBSD system https://twitter.com/antranigv/status/1263889902913097730?s=19
can i run this from a live USB boot to see if my hardware would be compatible?
Only if it's not read-only. Because it requires to install several packages to run.
One can try nomadbsd usb live image for example.
Fixed in master: https://github.com/linuxhw/hw-probe/commits/master
Removed configs from the server.
aponomarenko awesome 🙂
The only solution I've found:
If hw.sensors.acpibat0 exists then it's a laptop, else it's a desktop.
