unicorn OpenBSD 7.9, when run pkg_add -u , it shows merging packages at the beginning and then shows command complete. But when run pkg_add -u again, it's still the same process, nothing upgraded. I use my country's mirror.
unicorn Jay packing list sanity ok, some packages have too many dependencies. I run pkg_add -u again, it shows everything ok but nothing upgraded just as before packing-list sanity ok direct dependencies ok reverse dependencies ok files from packages ok
rvp unicorn CDNs mirrors can sometimes be out-of-date. Can you a) use a different mirror, or b) run tor and polipo or privoxy etc and force pkg_add to use tor by setting http_proxy and https_proxy correctly?
rvp unicorn Why use tor polipo and privoxy? CDNs can cause problems, as I said. To give a concrete example, right now I'm using a Tor + polipo proxy on OpenBSD and FreeBSD because of CDN issues on both. On OpenBSD, the server the CDN picks by default is pathetically slow for pkg_add -u. On FreeBSD, the server closest to me delivers a broken vuln.xml file for pkg audit -F. So now I set a proxy before doing package updates on both OSes. unicorn How to use them? Read the man-page?
