Based upon pointieststick.com comment and the new "thinkpad" sysctl(8) setting. I added these lines to /etc/sysctl.conf
hw.acpi.thinkpad0.bat0.charge_start=70
hw.acpi.thinkpad0.bat0.charge_stop=95
That should extend the battery life based on how I use the Laptop. You may want to look to see if that could apply for you and adjust as needed.
