Has anyone else tried building this? I tried for like 10 minutes and then quickly gave up. lol

I guess there is a lot more involved for something meant to talk to the kernel. I just don't have to experience to know what to do. But I would be interested in making this work on NetBSD. I would love some advice. I know it depends on the nouveau driver to work. But I just don't really know where to start on some of the things the make installer is asking for. It complains a whole lot. But even if it were to build, would it even know how to talk to the kernel?

LibreQuest it almost certainly depends on Linux specific kernel interfaces to run, only a small number will have been ported to NetBSD as part of the DRM kernel code.

So, this is likely to be a very steep initial project for someone new to kernel work... :/

I should make it perfectly clear that I am just a regular desktop or workstation user. I don't know what I'm doing at all. I thought maybe I could get this to build and use it for my RTX 3050 card. I'm assuming it's probably not that simple. 😃

Yeah, I have only worked with compiled language one time and it was to make an Android application using the android dev program. It offered kotlin or java and I chose java. The only thing it did was maintain a viewport for a web app with rotation and included my echoes from JavaScript into android toast. That's really the only time I've ever done that. So I could certainly try. But since I've no experience with these things if it did work I would have no idea if it were safe or had memory leaks or any of those things. It could potentially be unsafe. I think I could learn but I don't think that would be a safe thing to redistribute if it did work. And I don't want to break my system either.
