Fresh install of OS108;
changed the http://www.ki.nu/pkgsrc/packages/current/NetBSD-9.0/All to https://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/amd64/9.0_2019Q4/All/ then issued
pkgin update, pkgin upgrade.
the upgrade was finished with this msg:

Try this https://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/amd64/9.0_current/All instead.

The ki packages were built for 9.0 but, using the current branch of pkgsrc. This means that what you actually did was "upgrading" from current to 2019Q4.
As expected, it breaks a whole bunch of packages 😉
I would recommend using base xterm as the terminal to do this one upgrade.

current but, pkgin will always be a few days behind. You can obviously, try to sync them manually but, that's a bit too much. My binaries right now are from April 6 and pkgsrc from yesterday.
