As root, I can startxfce4 in OpenBSD 7.8 and everything loads and works fine. But as a regular user, I get:
EE xf86OpenConsole: no console driver found.
and the
xinit sever error
Does this mean that I installed something as root, when I should have used sudo/doas as my regular user account? Or do I have to configure some files in my user directory?
I've seen a lot of "answers" saying, you can't run the DE as root, must be a regular user, however, I'm having the opposite problem. A side note, I have noticed a difference in the way Midnight commander responds to certain keys in my user account. It's different as root.
