Making ATI Mobility Radeon 7500(r200) work on OpenBSD

I would like to have the Radeon 7500 card work on OpenBSD, however I'm not sure how to do it. The card works on NetBSD, as there mesa is pre 22.xx.
The last working version of Mesa was on OpenBSD 7.1 and I thought that switching around some files could work(r200_dri.so, radeon_drv.sa etc.), and it does to some extent, the pci id is recognized, the card is recognized, but I cannot get through:
libGL error: failed to create dri2 screen
libGL error: failed to load driver: radeonsi
In xorg.log there is:
(EE) AIXGLX error: dlopen of /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/radeon_dri.so failed (Cannot load specified object)
(EE) AIXGLX error: unable to load driver radeon
The file is not there on 7.5, but after transferring it from 7.1 it doesn't solve the problem.
I tried unpacking the whole sets from 7.1 but as expected it did more harm than good.

Mesa removed 'classic' drivers, including r100. There is a way to build two different versions of Mesa and put libglvnd in front of them, but we don't do that.

So is there a way to transfer the older mesa, compile libglvnd and somehow use that together? Or compile just the mesa amber branch? Or maybe there is some simpler way that I'm not seeing?

So you probably need to experiment with building mesa with r100

Jay yes, the driver is there, but mesa support is not. Support for it was removed from Mesa 22.xx onward.
The last pre-22 version of Mesa was in OpenBSD 7.1. On OpenBSD 7.5 there is Mesa 23.1.9. Support for r200 cards is still in Mesa Amber, but OpenBSD does not ship it.

Small update, about compiling mesa-amber
As for additional dependencies from ports: py3-mako and bison are needed. libglvnd needs to be compiled from source.
In the mesa source one file needs modification, else it won't build
/src/util/u_printf.h

When setting up with meson something like this can be used:
meson setup build -Damber=true -Ddri-drivers=r200 -Dvulkan-drivers= -Dplatforms=x11
The --prefix= argument can also be used to define a diffrent path to install, the default is /usr/local

I have the same issue on OpenBSD 7.8 macppc iBook G4 12" 1.33 Ghz.
On OpenBSD 7.1 I can use hatari (Atari ST emulator) but on 7.8 mesa doesn't work.

Fastfetch states I have an AMD ATI RV350 . ( in OpenBSD 7.1 mesa used r200 drivers )

I downloaded mesa-amber and all the necessary dependencies.

I am stuck now at meson setup which does not find libglvnd but a bit clueless from where I should get it and
how to compile it ?

And once mesa-amber then succeeds to compile and install, how can I set it that is used ?

Found NVIDIA libglvnd , was able to compile and install it in /usr/local.
Restarted my compile of mesa-amber which succeeded now and is also installed in /usr/local.

But how do I get xenodm or X11 to actually use mesa-amber ?
