NetBSD 10.0 + pkgsrc 2024Q2 firefox issue (Solved)

Release: NetBSD 10.0, amd64
My /usr/pkg/etc/pkgin/repositories.conf has just this one entry:
https://cdn.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/$arch/10.0_2024Q2/All

I updated my packages using
# pkgin update

firefox115 and seamonkey now fails with:
XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /usr/pkg/lib/firefox115/libxul.so: /usr/pkg/lib/firefox115/libxul.so: Shared object "libicui18n.so.74" not found Couldn't load XPCOM

libicui18n.so.75.1 does exist.

Plus if I issues a 'pkgin search firefox' nothing is printed.

Is there a setting I am missing ?

Note, I could not figure out had to add pkgsrc as a second tag.

jmcunx Missmatched shared libraries. In this case textproc/icu. Firefox is looking for icu v74 but, your update bumped it to v75.1

Please report this as a pkgsrc bug. Broken builds shouldn't be published as official binaries. This shouldn't happen.

One alternative is to build from source but, firefox takes time to build.

jmcunx You've jumped the gun, mate. Not all binary packages've been compiled for 2024Q2. If you compare that dir. with the one for 2024Q1, you'll see that about half the packages are missing in Q2. Wait until the 10.0 symlink's been updated to point to Q2.

rvp I don't think unfinished/semi-broken builds should be accessible to users, regardless of symlink switch.

In my personal opinion, allowing access to these builds, it's a bug.

From what I can see, this issue has been fixed. I have updated pkgsrc to 2024Q2 and all seems OK.

So this issue can be closed or marked as solved. (I do nor know how to do that)
