sshfs on dfbsd

Does anybody use sshfs or mount_psshfs on the dragonflybsd?

I couldn't find mount_psshfs in installed 6.4, nor in pkg repos.
Looks like it was supported before, but not anymore.

fusefs-sshfs is in repository, but can't be started. It seems it requires fuse.ko,
but there is no such module inside /boot/kernel.

I believe there's a good reason for SSHFS to be slowly disappearing.
In my experience, it's just extremely slow, making it unworkable in a lot of cases.
From playing around in FreeBSD I discovered NFS, which is so much better, and it most likely already supports all UNIX-like OS's out of the box.
At least, it comes pre-installed in FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, and OpenIndiana, and on Linux there's a kernel module built-in which is already enabled in most distro's.
I didn't check with Dragonfly BSD yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if NFS support is already included there as well.

I dont think anything wrong with sshfs. I like it as a simple zero config/administration
instant network access tool. Slowness comes from encryption, and on the faster
machine it 's not an issue. I remember some comparison found it
faster than nfs with encryption option turned on. Off course, nfs has finer file sharing/locking,
but it comes with much more effort put into administration.

Also I found that on BSDs many tools have blocked networking modules, though those were implemented. rclone, mplayer for example. I think the reason is fs compatibility in those
implentations. But again, sshfs was working already..

Edit: and not having enough eyes/hands for maintenance. It is probably main reason.

Fuse has been enabled recently starting with https://gitweb.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.git/commit/4d178a6a8bdff7603d9bcb6c5fff68a4e2efd337
That means that if you want to be able to use it, you should use the master branch with at least that commit.

sshfs should work, but as you said you have to install the appropriate port.

Has anyone tried including the chip directives on chips that that include encryption?
