pkgin repo problem

I recently install netbsd 9
I added http://www.ki.nu/pkgsrc/packages/current/NetBSD-9.0_RC2/All to my repositories
pkgin update works fine
I pkgin install bash
and get cannot find bash-5.0.16nb1.tgz , it exists on the server as bash-5.0.16nb1.tar.xz
how, why doesn't it see xz file

javan I have no clue but, remember that this repo is not official, its one person doing bulkbuilds on his own and being kind enough to share the result 😉

In fact, he was asking yesterday about uploading these...

You also may like to know that binaries for 9.0, not RC_2 anymore, are available 🙂

Also note that, some packages are really fast to build from source 😉
Things like firefox, rust, llvm, clang,... take several hours to build but, things like bash will only take a few minutes.

changed repos to 9.0 and problem solved

I'm updating myself right now and happened to see bash is there 🙂
Remember one more thing, these binaries are for 9.0 but build on top of pkgsrc-current, not a Q-release. If you build something yourself you should use the current branch so you won't end-up mixing packages from different branches.
