Firefox and zoom

Hello everyone, does anybody achieved to get a working camera with zoom/firefox?

I have a HEAD kernel and tested my camera (with ffplay) and it works nicely.

Then I Installed firefox and am using an extension to change the User-Agent string so that websites think i am a linux/firefox machine.

But still i can't get the camera to work in firefox, i just don't see anything.

Do you guys know if I need to compile firefox instead of using the binary? Do i need some special options in compilation? I remember I got it working last year but don't remember how.

Use the Webcam Test on Firefox. If it works, then the problem most likely lies in a proprietary DRM/EME extension which Zoom doesn't release to Firefox on NetBSD. Well, as you can see, even Firefox itself is masked as "Nightly" on NetBSD, because Mozilla refuses to support NetBSD and therefore forbids official branding.

Do you know how to get it working for firefox?

JuvenalUrbino I think it is even worse after updating to a CURRENT kernel my audio is not working.

Mhhh is the current kernel having issues with audio ? I am on a thinkpad t450s

Yes, Jitsi is quite a friendly one. Otherwise, Element Web on Matrix.

If uaudio(4) attached to the microphone on boot, you'll probably have to play with audiocfg(1), and aiomixer(1)/mixerctl(1). I don't remember if I also changed some settings in Firefox on the 'about:config' page.

So, you have to run audiocfg list check the output is being sent to the correct device and, if not, run #audiocfg default <device_number>

Because it overwrites the symbolic link from your default audio interface to /dev/audio

Having a discrete sound card, this is a common issue for me, practically on any operating system. But as pin said and as you show it's easily fixed.
You can control the mic volume and mute it system-wide during a meeting with aiomixer.
