Here in Greece freebsd pkg download speed is way too slow !

Here in Greece FreeBsd pkg download speed is very slow , they should upgrade their servers this is unacceptable, even OpenBSD and NetBSD doesn't have problems like these.

This pc i have temporarily can't boot netbsd , i tried with legacy, i tried using uefi nothing makes the disk bootable !
I think it might be something about the ssd or the controller , maybe i should try to install it on my mechanical disk.
NetBSD has very good performance when i had another ssd it could boot and even obs-studio had perfect performance after i compiled it from pkgsrc.
The only think i don't like on NetBSD is the audio mixer , its a maze of switches and i try to find what i want to control in an endless list of mixers
I'm gonna try M2 they are dead cheap right now

I had to set bios to only legacy and then netbsd would run normally.
The only problem is that i had artifacts and several black lines cause probably it doesn't support well the R7 240 gpu but i have also a Nvidia 1030 so i guess i could use that.
Do you know if NetBSD 10 beta would run slower because of debugging features of a pre-release ??

If sysinst installed files onto this disk, then it shouldn't be difficult to make it bootable. Can you boot the USB-installer, drop into the command-line and post the output of these commands (even a picture of the screen will do):

sysctl machdep.bootmethod
fdisk /dev/wd0             # or ld0 (1st NVME); sd0 (1st SCSI disk); wd1 (2nd ATA disk), etc.
gpt show wd0

chrisfromgreece I guess I'm not positive but I run -current on ARM with no noticeable problems. There have been issues that were fixed, but I didn't update often enough to run into that.

rvp I had to select legacy only on bios.
I tried NetBSD 10 beta but my r7 240 doesn't work and my geforce 1030 is too slow

Hi , i tried using my nvidia geforce 1030 but picom seems way too slow and compared to openbsd its much much slower.
Why is that ? could be that is a beta release ?
Also why the R7 240 doesn't work ? (have many many black lines everywhere)
